  • HSI RECEIVES STATE HONOR FROM NSPA (11/21/2006)

Reno, Nev. - The Nevada State Psychological Association (NSPA) honored HSI (High Sierra Industries) with the 2006 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award in the small, non-profit category. By receiving the statewide honor, HSI will be considered by the American Psychological Association for the 2007 National Psychologically Healthy Workplace awards.

The award program was created to recognize organizations that understand and demonstrate the link between employee health and well-being, and organizational performance. Award-winners also must have implemented a variety of workplace practices in an active effort to create a positive work environment.

NSPA awarded HSI after an on-site visit and a series of surveys and interviews with HSI employees. HSI was judged on criteria including: employee involvement, health and safety, employee growth and development, work-life balance and employee recognition.
