HSI's Training, Development and Employment

HSI provides meaningful work opportunities for people with disabilities. While working in our manufacturing, assembly, contract landscape and other services, people we serve are assisted in becoming more self-sufficient and independent through the best training and development services available.

HSI employees are skilled in electro-mechanical and labor-intensive assembly including basic attachments, riveting and drilling. HSI is equipped for anything from cable and harness assembly to soldering. With a variety of wire cutting and terminating equipment, HSI has the ability to produce large or small production and prototype runs. HSI is UL certified on many jobs, and we test cable assemblies with CableScan test equipment. Additionally, HSI can perform gluing, collating, packaging, and bulk mailing jobs.

HSI also provides contract grounds maintenance services. We hold the grounds maintenance contract for the Naval Air Station in Fallon, Nevada, as well as the federal building grounds in Reno, Nevada. The grounds maintenance team is comprised of disabled and non-disabled employees and provides all landscape and grounds maintenance, including irrigation systems.
