How to Qualify to Get Started at HSI

In order to qualify for services provided by HSI, you must have a diagnosis of developmental disability provided by a medical professional. At that point, you should contact the Intake Coordinator at the State of Nevada's Sierra Regional Center (SRC) by phone at (775) 688-1930 ext. 2132, or by email at edewitt@src.state.nv.us. The Intake Coordinator will schedule an office appointment where you will be assisted in completing an application for support, answer any questions, refer you to other agencies, and assist with applications for Social Security and Medicaid, if necessary. This process can take one to six months to be qualified and to have your services funded.

You would then chose a provider of the services for which you are funded and your service coordinator will tell you about all the appropriate programs in this area so that you and your family can tour and interview at them.

HSI is a Community Training Center (CTC) for Sierra Regional Center and the State of Nevada. If you choose HSI, you and your family will meet with our team and put together your contract for services and responsibilities. You will be trained, employed and paid as though you are working in a similar community business.

Sierra Regional Center is located at:
